Boyz Nite is a response to the physical and psychological effects of living both inside of and outside of the reductive and prefab landscape of masculinity. Corollaries come loose from tangles of the pressures and the expectations requisite in the individualistic nature of manhood.
Boyz Nite is a rusty truck hitch, a round of shadowboxing, a pair of snake tattoos, company. It questions the legitimacy of manufactured identities erected on illusions of strength via control and alienation when desire for intimacy and connection are ultimately destroyed by the very threat of illegitimacy.
